Trustee director: William Medlicott

William is the representative of Capital Cranfield Pension Trustees Limited (CCPTL), an independent professional firm of trustees which acts as Chair of the Trustee board.  CCPTL was first appointed by Riverside as an independent trustee in April 2005, and William became the representative for the RGPTL in November 2019.  

William is a chartered accountant with a long career in senior financial roles, including as former Finance Director of ITV Broadcasting and Online.  He has acted as a pension scheme trustee since 2005 and has particular experience in investment matters.

Trustee director: Emma Turner

Emma has been Head of Treasury at Riverside since October 2016.

She joined the Trustee board in March 2021.

Trustee director: John Wood

John was appointed as a member-nominated director in January 2020.

John worked at Riverside for more than 30 years, much of that operating at Senior Executive level.

Trustee director: Barbara Houghton

Barbara joined the Trustee Board as a member-nominated Trustee director on 1 August 2022.

Barbara completed 38 years’ service with Riverside in a wide range of front-line and managerial roles before retiring in 2017.

 

Trustee director: Alison Stock

Alison is IT Director (Digital & Technology) for Riverside, having been in IT Director roles at Riverside since August 2016.

Alison joined the Trustee board in January 2026.

Sam Mullock - Scheme Actuary

Sam is the Scheme Actuary to the three schemes, and manages First Actuarial’s relationship with RGPTL.  He is a partner of the firm and a senior actuary with over 25 years’ pensions experience. Sam is a recognised expert on pensions in the social housing sector, and regularly features in publications on this topic.

Sam joined First Actuarial early in 2017 after moving back to Manchester from London. In his spare time, Sam is a committee member of a community benefit society.
